Former Manchester United defender and captain, and now football expert Gary Neville, commented on the Red Devils' victory over Chelsea (2:1) in the 5th round of the English Premier League.
"I thought the sending-off put some pressure on United. It was almost a hopeless game. If they had won, people would have said Chelsea had 10 men, but when Casemiro was sent off just before half-time, I was worried."
I thought the second half would be painful, and it was in the end, but I actually think United deserved to win. It was a good weekend for Ruben Amorim because I think he needed a bit of rest and relief. If they didn't get the three points, it would have affected him a lot, especially considering Chelsea were down to ten men.
"United have two important games now because the season is still young and if you beat Chelsea you can beat Brentford at home and then Sunderland and those are two very winnable games. In a few weeks United can be top of the table and the team will have their confidence back. You know, one win won't change that but yesterday's game was very useful, very useful," Neville was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
