Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has commented on the debut goal of new Gunners attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze in the third round of the English League Cup against Port Vale (Barcelona). The match ended in a convincing 2-0 victory for the London team. Eze scored the winning goal.
"Did Eberechi Eze open his goal for the team? We were hoping for a game like that, but he should have scored twice more. It's important for us that he has more possession and we're working to create the conditions for that," Arteta said, according to the BBC.
Arsenal announced the transfer of the English midfielder from Crystal Palace on August 23. The transfer fee, according to Transfermarkt.com, was €69.3 million. Eze has made seven appearances in all competitions this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
