Manchester United centre-back Matthijs de Ligt has spoken out about criticism from manager Ruben Amorim following the club's 3-1 defeat to Brentford in the Premier League.
"It's always easy to look at the coach, but at the end of the day it's the players on the pitch who have to do everything," the Dutch defender was quoted as saying by the BBC.
De Ligt has made seven appearances in all competitions this season, scoring zero goals. After six matches, Manchester United are 14th in the Premier League table with seven points.
