Real Madrid were interested in signing Manchester City midfielder Rodri.
According to El Nacional, the English club's head coach, Josep Guardiola, was personally against selling the player, noting that Rodri is one of his team's key players. Despite the interest from the capital club, the Spanish specialist stressed: "Rodri is not for sale."
Rodri missed most of last season due to a cruciate ligament tear he suffered in September 2024. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €110 million. In a recent interview, Guardiola revealed that Rodri was experiencing pain in a previously injured knee and was currently out of the team.
