Brazilian striker Anthony, who moved from Manchester United to Betis at the start of the current season, has spoken about the treatment he received at the English club during his suspension from training.
"It was a very difficult few months in England, more than 40 days in a hotel, training alone... I think they showed me disrespect, but that's not the problem. I don't want to make a big deal out of it. That's life. I'm very grateful to the club. There were good times and bad times, and we won two titles," Anthony was quoted as saying by El Desmarque.
Anthony has signed a contract with Betis until 2030. He previously played for the team on loan, participating in 26 matches, scoring nine goals and providing five assists. According to data provided by Transfermarkt.com, his transfer value is 35 million euros.
