Erling Haaland: I've already lost my grandmother

Manchester City and Norway forward Erling Haaland has admitted that he is afraid of death and wonders what might happen after it.

"Honestly, I'm a little afraid of death because I don't know what awaits us after. Sometimes it's scary to lie in bed alone before going to sleep and think: 'What will happen on the day of death? Will I go to heaven? Or hell? Where, even?'"

I've already lost my grandparents, as well as my agent. And last year, someone else very close to me, Ivar Egyan, passed away. Even though he wasn't related to me, I called him uncle because he was like family to me, a very close friend. It was very difficult. I'm sad that he's gone. If he were here now, we would be joking around together again. We were always joking and laughing. I'll remember him forever.

"I was able to talk to him shortly before he left. He told me: 'Go out on the pitch and play your best.' He also gave me advice: 'Enjoy the process' and much more. He wanted me to live life to the fullest, even if he wasn't there. That's very important to remember," Haaland was quoted as saying by NRK.

Let us remind you that in yesterday's match of the 2nd round of the Champions League, Erling scored a double against Monaco (2:2).
