Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will play his 300th game in charge of the London club against West Ham in the seventh round of the Premier League. Ahead of the match against the Hammers, the 43-year-old Spaniard shared his thoughts with reporters.
"300 games? That's a lot. Now the goal is to win on Saturday. Everything else will come with time. When I first started working here, on my first day, I had no idea how long this journey would take. All I can say is thank you. I'm enjoying every moment and I hope there will be many more games like this."
"I feel incredibly privileged. I really enjoy my job and the people I do it with. In our business, to stay in a position, you have to win. But it's equally important to enjoy the process itself. I think this profession gives you some of the most powerful emotions in life. I try to combine both," Arteta said in an interview with the club's official website.
Arsenal are third in the Premier League table with 13 points.
