PSG are monitoring the situation of defender Eric Garcia, whose contract with Barcelona expires in the summer of 2026. The Parisians may hold talks with the 24-year-old player if he fails to sign a new contract with the Catalan club within three months, reports Sport.es.
According to the source, the Blaugrana aim to extend Garcia's contract until 2030. However, the delay in negotiations with the defender is "surprising", while negotiations with other players are proceeding more quickly. The Spaniard himself wants to continue his career at Barcelona.
Garcia is highly regarded by PSG head coach Luis Enrique, under whose leadership the defender made his debut for the Spanish national team.
The player has been playing for Barcelona since the summer of 2021. During this time, he has played 124 games in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing five assists.
