Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone commented on the draw against Celta in the eighth round of the Spanish Primera.
"I left very satisfied and happy with the effort of the boys and the great job they did. We were able to play 60 minutes with one substitute and everyone put in a great effort, so I left feeling very happy."
When we were 11 against 11, we controlled the situation and launched dangerous counterattacks. With 10 men, we defended well, but apart from Koke's passes, we couldn't create anything. However, I am very happy with the team's overall performance.
"I always try to look at the positives. And speaking of positives, in a difficult situation like relegation, the team responded very well. The boys worked hard because it's not easy to play 60 minutes with one player less, and they coped well," Simeone was quoted as saying by the club's press service.
