England head coach Thomas Tuchel has responded to a question about the absence of midfielders Jude Bellingham, Philip Foden and Jack Grealish from the national team, noting that the players will only return to the national team if it makes the team more united.
"We will arrive as underdogs because we haven't won in decades, and we will play against teams that have won many times. So we have to come as a united team, otherwise we won't have a chance."
I was recently watching a documentary about the New England Patriots and heard the following words: "We don't recruit the most talented players. We build a team."
"I completely agree with him. We try to do exactly the same. It is the team that wins trophies, not one individual. We hire players who provide the cohesion and stability needed to build the best team. Because we have to get there as the best team," Tuchel was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
