In the third minute of the match, the Yerevan club opened the scoring: after a pass from Olawale Farajola, Momo Toure headed the ball into the goal defended by 29-year-old Sokrat Hovhannisyan. It should be noted that this was Toure's fifth goal this season, but he is not the top scorer for "Alashkert". The top scorer for the Yerevan club is the captain Karen Nalbandyan, who was invited to the Armenian national team during the international break. Approaching the ball, Rafik Misakyan scored Arsen Beglaryan's goal, which was Misakyan's third successful penalty kick this season (1:2). A minute before the end of the regular time of the match, Donald Kodian was sent off the field with a red card and in the extra time, the Gyumri team did not offer anything to the opponent.
Thus, "Alashkert" defeats "Shirak" in a difficult match and continues to lead the standings with 22 points, while "Shirak" is in 9th place with six points.
