CSKA Moscow defender Artyom Bandikyan will be called up to the Armenian national team for the first time, Metaratings reports.
The 20-year-old will be in the squad for the upcoming matches of the European zone qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup against Hungary and Portugal.
The head coach of the Armenian national team, Yeghishe Melikyan, was recently present at the Russian Cup match between CSKA Moscow and Akron in Moscow and watched Bandikyan's game.

The Armenian specialist met with the young footballer after the match, got to know Bandikyan's game mentality and qualities, and discussed his chances of playing for the national team.
The Armenian national team will face Hungary in Group F of the 2026 World Cup European Zone qualifying tournament on November 13 in Yerevan, and three days later will face Portugal, led by Roberto Martinez, at home.
