Matty Cash signs new contract with Aston Villa

Aston Villa defender Matty Cash has signed a new contract with the club, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2029, the club's official website reported.

Cash is a former player for Wycombe Wanderers and Nottingham Forest, and has also played for Foresters as a captain. The defender has been at Aston Villa since 2020. During this time, Cash has made 193 appearances for the Lions, scoring 12 goals and providing 12 assists. The defender was named the Player of the Season for Nottingham Forest in 2019/2020, and Cash achieved the same result for Birmingham in 2021/2022.
