At the European Youth Weightlifting Championships in Durres, Albania, Tigran Karapetyan, who weighs 71 kg, became the European Youth Championship champion with a combined result of 321 kg. He also set a new record by snatching 176 kg in the final approach.

 

Narek Grigoryan, who competes in the same weight category, became the vice-champion of the European Youth Championship with a combined result of 318 kg. The Armenian weightlifter became a new record holder by lifting the barbell with a weight of 175 kg. Gor Sahakyan, who weighs 71 kg, won a bronze medal in the U-23 competition with a combined result of 327 kg.

 

Let's add that in the U23 competition held yesterday, 60 kg weightlifter Garnik Cholakyan became the champion of the European Youth Championship with a combined result of 267 kg. 

In this championship, the first to take the stage was Alexandra Grigoryan, who weighed 58 kg and became the European Youth Champion with a combined result of 214 kg, setting a new record by holding a barbell weighing 123 kg above her head.
