In the framework of the 15th round of the Fastex Premier League, Vahe Gevorgyan's "Alashkert" hosted Robert Arzumanyan's "Urartu" at home. "Alashkert" and "Urartu" ended their previous meetings in a draw. Karen Nalbandyan and his teammates measured their strength with the Armenian champion and cup holder "Noah" (2:2), the "Orange" hosted Yerevan's "Pyunik" (the most titled club in Armenia) in the last home game of 2025, which ended with a score of 1:1. Before the start of the match, the audience honored the memory of the Armenian and Russian football legend Nikita Simonyan with a minute of silence, who passed away on November 23 at the age of 99.

The two teams are neighbors in the tournament table - Alashkert is in second place with 29 points, Urartu is in third with 26 points. In case of victory, Alashkert can overtake the leader of the championship - Ararat-Armenia, who has 31 points. In the 28th minute of the match, Urartu organized a beautiful attack, which started with a pass from Arman Ghazaryan, after which Narek Aghasaryan, appearing on the edge of the opponent's penalty area, passed the ball to Karen Melkonyan, who confidently completed his team's attack (1:0). After opening the score, Zhirayr Margaryan and his teammates became even more active, fighting for every ball. Urartu felt much better in away games and at the end of the first half, Bruno Michel doubled his team's advantage, scoring his 12th goal of the current season (2:0).
In the second half, the home team took more active actions, in one of which Momo Toure could reduce the score difference, “Urartu” felt each other very well during the defensive actions led by Arman Ghazaryan at the start of the half. The course of the match shows that there are no reasons for “Urartu” to rush, they do not want to miss the first half’s gain, not giving “Alashkert” a chance to think long. At the end of the match, as a result of Eric Piloyan’s elbow, “Alashkert” was awarded a penalty kick, Karen Nalbandyan, who approached the ball, could not hit the goal defended by Alexander Mishiev, who could have increased his number of goals in the current season. Thus, the “Orange” sent two unanswered goals to the “Alashkert” goal, scoring 29 points and ahead of the opponent in additional indicators, “Alashkert” is in third place with the same number of points.
