Legia Warsaw will not have support for the match in Yerevan.
The European Football Association (UEFA) has imposed sanctions on Legia Warsaw following incidents during their 1-2 away defeat to Celje on 6 November. It has been decided to activate a previously imposed conditional ban, which prohibits the sale of tickets for the club’s next away match under UEFA auspices. This decision directly applies to the match against Noah in Yerevan.
In addition, the club was fined twenty thousand euros. UEFA also imposed another ban on the sale of tickets for an away match, but for a period of 2 years. This means that in case of repeated violations, new sanctions are expected. The official statement cites the use and throwing of fireworks by fans as the reason for the disciplinary penalty. The decision clarifies that the disciplinary penalty imposed on January 15, 2025 has come into force.
For Polish fans, this means they will not be able to buy tickets for the away game in Yerevan. The ban extends to the upcoming European Cup match itself, as a result of which Legia will have to play without support at the opponent's home ground.
Let us remind you that the "Noah" - "Legia" match will take place on December 11, at the "Republican" Stadium named after Vazgen Sargsyan in Yerevan, at 9:45 PM.
