Neuer could return to the national team

The German national team is considering the possibility of bringing Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer back to the 2026 World Cup squad, Bild reported. He ended his international career in 2024.

 According to the source, Manuel's possible return will depend on the fitness of Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen. If the Catalan club's goalkeeper returns to top form after his injury, Neuer will not be needed.

Manuel Neuer, 38, has won 11 German titles, five German Cups and two Champions Leagues with Bayern Munich. He also won the World Cup with the German national team in 2014.
