Monaco fans publicly criticized the club after the 15th round of the French Ligue 1, where the Monegasques lost to Brest 0:1.
"We have been waiting for months for a wake-up call, a realization, some clarification from the sporting leadership of Monaco. The club's owners have bet on the corporate model of football. But it is clear that this model, based on finances rather than sporting achievements, is not working. The soul and spirit of the beautiful game of Monaco are being disrespected. The players seem to be lost on the pitch: they lack both the mentality and the resources.
We expressed our doubts and concerns during the summer transfer window: an unstable squad, erratic decisions and a lack of vision. Our players' health management is amateurish and our hospital is constantly overcrowded.
"As always, we brought this to the attention of the club's management with great seriousness and respect. However, the warnings were ignored. The mistakes piled up. The club is sinking, while the sporting directors continue to pretend that everything is fine. Today, our patience has run out. We are forced to publicly express our concern because no one at the club is ready to take responsibility," Sport.es quotes the Monaco fans as saying.
