Successful performances of the Armenian boxing team in Dubai

The Armenian national team has achieved successful results at the World Boxing Championships in Dubai. During the competition day, three members of our team qualified for the quarterfinals.

In the 67 kg weight category, Hovhannes Bachkov won a convincing victory over his Kyrgyz opponent by unanimous decision.

The success was further developed by 80 kg Artush Hovhannisyan, who achieved an advantage over the athlete representing Australia by a 4:1 decision of the judges.

The third place in the quarterfinals was won by 92 kg Narek Manasyan, who defeated another Australian representative by technical knockout.

Unfortunately, Armen Mashakaryan, the other representative of Armenia in the 67 kg weight category, was eliminated from the competition, losing to his Uzbek opponent.

Today, super heavyweight Davit Chaloyan, 48 kg Baregham Harutyunyan, 60 kg Artur Bazeyan, and 75 kg Vakhtang Harutyunyan will also enter the ring and fight.
