Details of Alexander Shovkovsky's resignation as head coach of Dynamo Kyiv have become known.
According to TaToTake, the initiative to part ways with the coach was the club president's personal decision. Igor Surkis called Shovkovsky about an hour after the match against Omonia and informed him of his decision.
A similar conversation took place with Igor Kostyuk, who was appointed acting head coach. The U-19 coach was surprised by the president's proposal, but he was given virtually no time to discuss it.
Dynamo lost 2-0 to Omonia in the Conference League, their third consecutive defeat. The Kyiv club is currently in seventh place in the Ukrainian Premier League.
