Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has spoken out about Mohamed Salah's future at Liverpool.
"I don't see Mohamed Salah at Liverpool next season. The big question for me is whether we'll see him here until the end of this season. I think he'll be very sorry if he leaves."
He clearly has a disagreement with Arne Slot, but I want to praise the manager's actions. He could have simply left Salah out of the squad for the match against Brighton, but he decided to put the interests of the team first. In the end, Salah came out on the pitch and helped the team.
I don't believe Salah will leave Liverpool for Real Madrid or Barcelona. The only options are the Saudi Arabian league. Liverpool, however, are capable of reaching the FA Cup or Champions League finals in the second half of the season. Imagine Salah sitting in Saudi Arabia watching his former team reach the Champions League final in Budapest.
"He deserves the respect of the corridor, the banners from the stands and the opportunity to go out on the pitch with his family. It's worth putting aside the conflict with the manager and thinking about the three or four months he could still spend at Liverpool," Carragher said, according to Sky Sports.
Recall that the Egyptian has scored four goals and provided three assists in 14 Premier League games this season.
