Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has commented on the loss of midfielder Bruno Fernandes. He was injured and substituted in the 1-2 Premier League match against Aston Villa.
"I don't think it's possible to replace Bruno, but I'm telling the team. I think we have to take advantage of it and if there's one positive thing, it's that a lot of players have to step up. And if you look at it, it's not just about creating chances, but also in every standard episode: he's the one who sometimes organises the team's game. And this is a good opportunity for everyone to move forward and understand that we can't rely on just one player for everything. And sometimes we rely on Bruno for organisation, for creating chances.
"We lost Bruno in stoppage time. We lost Brian [Mbemo] and Amadou [Dialou] in stoppage time. So it's a big loss for the team, but it's also an opportunity for other players to step up and show the leadership qualities that we need in the team," Amorim told the Red Devils' official website.
