Manchester City's new signing, winger Antoine Semedo, who joined from Bournemouth, has become the club's fourth most expensive player in the club's history. The most expensive player is midfielder Jack Grealish, who was paid €117 million (£100 million). Defender Joszko Guardiola is second, who paid €90 million (£76.5 million), and Kevin De Bruyne is third, who cost the club €75 million (£65 million) in 2015.
Semenyo signed a five-and-a-half-year contract. The Ghanaian winger rejected offers from four Premier League clubs - Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United - to join City. A key factor in his decision was his desire to work under Spanish manager Pep Guardiola.
In the current Premier League season, 25-year-old Semedo has played 20 games, scored 10 goals and made three assists.
