Defeat in the first match of the confrontation

The Armenian national team hosted the Georgian national team, led by Willy Sagnoli, at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan as part of the Nations League play-offs and conceded three unanswered goals.

 The guests' team was distinguished by Giorgi Kochorashvili, and four minutes later, George Mikautadze scored a brace.

These teams last met in 2020. Due to the war situation in Armenia, our team's home match took place in a third country.

The first match ended in a draw, but the Spanish coach won the away game.

Returning from Tbilisi with three points, Joaquin Caparos' men celebrated a 1-0 victory over the North Macedonians in the away match. The only and winning goal in that match was scored by Noah defender Hovhannes Hambardzumyan, who is listed for this match.

The return match will take place three days later in Tbilisi.

The national team's fan clubs attended the match and showed strong support for their beloved team.
