"Pyunik" has a new addition: 30-year-old defender Robert Darbinyan has joined the most titled club in Armenia.
Darbinyan is a student of the Togliatti Football Academy, played for the second team of Krylia Sovetov, then played for Shirak, Ararat-Armenia, and Urartu in Gyumri.
In January 2021, Robert moved to Pyunik, but did not play any official games during the half-season he spent with the Yerevan team. He then continued his career at Ararat Yerevan.
Robert Darbinyan's previous team was Gyumri's Shirak, where he played since January 2023. In the first part of the current season, he participated in 15 matches for Shirak, becoming the author of one goal assist.
Darbinyan played for the Armenian U-17 and U-19 national teams, and in 2018, he made his debut for the Armenian national team, participating in a friendly match against the Lithuanian national team (0:1).
