Former Spartak coach could lead Real Madrid

Real Madrid have named their preferred candidate for head coach if Alvaro Arbeloa is sacked at the end of the season. The club are planning to bring in current Aston Villa manager Unai Emery, according to journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mona on social media.

Real Madrid have reportedly already held talks with Emery to discuss a possible collaboration. Details of the possible appointment are still unknown.

Aston Villa, led by Unai Emery, are third in the Premier League table. The Spanish coach worked at Spartak Moscow in 2012.
