Today, March 27, the meeting of the FFA Executive Committee was held.
The first item on the agenda was the filling of a vacant position on the executive committee.
As a result of the vote of the Executive Committee members, the current vice-champion of Armenia, “Noah” FC Development Director Anna Ohanyan will take the position.
Ohanyan will hold that position until the next regular FFA meeting, during which a replacement will be elected for the remaining term.
It should be noted that Karen Shaboyan had previously resigned from his position, announcing this in a Facebook post, which we present to you below:
During the “Pyunik” – “Ararat-Armenia” match, 9 devoted Armenian football fans were arrested as a result of the violent and disproportionate force used by the Armenian police.
As a founding member of the FAF, in 18 years, I have never encountered such treatment, when 9 fans are arrested, detained for 72 hours, and a criminal case is opened against them.
So far, I have refrained from expressing my position publicly, preferring to resolve issues through personal contacts.
I have suggested that the FFA leadership meet with the fans, honestly discuss the issues that have arisen, and set a clear timetable for completing current programs and leaving the country. Unfortunately, this proposal was not accepted,” Shaboyan wrote on his social media page.
