European Wrestling Championship: Khachatur Khachatryan achieved victory in 40 seconds

The Armenian national team has won another medal at the ongoing European U23 Freestyle Wrestling Championship in Zrenjanin, Serbia. This time, 125 kg weightlifter Khachatur Khachatryan took the podium.

In the decisive match for the bronze medal, the Armenian wrestler competed with the representative of Belarus, Stepan Mandrik. Khachatryan had a brilliant performance and celebrated a confident victory over his opponent just 40 seconds after entering the mat. Thanks to this impressive success, the Armenian athlete was declared the bronze medalist of the European Youth Championship for the second time in his career.

Let us add that during the competition day, another representative of our team, Knyaz Iboyan in the 92 kg weight category, also had the opportunity to fight for third place. However, the latter was unable to overcome the obstacle of the Russian Mustafagaji Malachdibirov and was left without medals.
