Liverpool manager Arne Slott has commented on the situation with injured striker Alexander Isak. He noted that Isak's absence for most of the season had a significant impact on the team's performance.
"I've said 150 times in press conferences how many chances we had against Arsenal compared to our opponents. Do you think it would have affected the game if we had had one of the top scorers in this league for the last three, four or five years, Isak, for the whole season?"
"Let's say [Isak] comes back in early April, but before that he's been out... for three and a half months. He hasn't trained with the team in that time. It took him a while to get back into shape the last time. I'm really looking forward to him coming back, but we shouldn't expect him to be at the level we paid for as soon as he gets on the field," Slott said.
