In the opening match of the 18th round of the Fastex Premier League, Yerevan's Ararat hosted Karen Barseghyan's Gandzasar. In the last four matches between the teams, one win and two draws were recorded. The Yerevan club celebrated its last victory over the Greens in August 2024 (2:0), while Gandzasar won in October of the same year (6:5).

At the start of the second half, “Kapantsi” opened the score of the match, after a pass from Shunto Canada, Bertrand Mani scored the goal of the Yerevan club (1:0), which was the first by a Cameroonian football player in the 2025/26 Fastex Premier League season. It took the club representing the Syunik region eight minutes to develop their advantage. In the 57th minute of the match, Luca Rodriguez doubled his team’s advantage (2:0), thanks to a partnership with Mariano Ahuangbo (2:0).
Thus, "Gandzasar" wins, earning 14 points over "Ararat" and occupies the eighth place in the standings, "Ararat" has 6 points in its assets and closes the standings of the Armenian domestic championship.
