Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has commented on the situation with midfielder Enzo Fernandez. It was reported that the coach has suspended the player for the next two games. The midfielder previously stated that he is ready to consider the possibility of continuing his career at Real Madrid.
"I spoke to him about an hour ago. He will not be available tomorrow or as a player for our football club, nor for the game against City. I am extremely disappointed with his interview. It is not true."
I have no problem with him personally or as an individual. But he crossed the line, the boundary that we want to see at this club. We had to take sanctions. It is important to note that his return to the team is not closed - this is a punishment for the offence. I understand his disappointment - he wanted Chelsea to succeed this season.
"His future? I can't speak for him. When he was on the pitch, even against Everton, he gave everything. What he wants for himself in the future, that's certainly not my job to say," Rosenior was quoted as saying by the club's official website.
