Barcelona president Joan Laporta has spoken about the future of the club's head coach Hans-Dieter Flick.
"We will discuss it calmly at the end of the season. He does not feel any urgent need for it. He is very honest with himself and extremely professional. I think Flick deserves a contract extension, but he prefers to first assess the situation at the end of the season and then make a decision. If we add another year, it is already guaranteed for him. I think he thinks that if the contract is too long, some may feel that Flick will weaken," Flick was quoted as saying by Footmercato.
Barcelona currently leads the Spanish league table with 73 points. Flick has been at the helm of the Catalan club since 2024. His contract with the club runs until 2027.
