Liverpool have held an emergency meeting to discuss the future of manager Arne Slott following their 4-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals, Sky Sports reports.
Liverpool must qualify for the Champions League or Arne Sloot will lose his job. On Saturday, April 4, Liverpool suffered their 15th defeat of the season. It was the team's heaviest defeat since 2015, and it put considerable pressure on Sloot.
Slott took charge of Liverpool in 2024 and led the team to the 2024/25 Premier League title.
Liverpool are currently fifth in the Premier League table with 49 points. They are also close to reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
