Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick has spoken about the controversial substitution of 18-year-old winger Lamine Yamal in the 30th round of La Liga against Atletico Madrid (2:1).
"Lamin Yamal was a little angry because he did his best but couldn't score. The game was emotional, that's normal. After the game he was in the locker room and he's fine," Flick was quoted as saying by Marca.
Recall that Yamal did not celebrate the winning goal of Catalan striker Robert Lewandowski in the 87th minute, but simply watched the field. After the final whistle, the 18-year-old Spaniard walked past head coach Flick. The German tried to stop him, but the winger avoided the coach's move.
