In the last match of the 20th round of the Fastex Premier League, Ararat-Armenia hosted Alashkert at home. The last match between the teams ended with a victory for Vahe Gevorgyan's men (1:0), where the only and winning goal was scored by Momo Toure.
The match started with the activity of "Alashkert", but the "Black and White" were not left out either - Aliun Ndur, Artur Serobyan were active in the front line. "Alashkert" was not like the previous round's match against "Pyunik", where they lost 0:1, but this match was different, Edgar Piloyan and his teammates are offering a real fight to the opponent.
Judging by the start of the first half, the match was proceeding at the behest of "Alashkert", with the players of "Ararat-Armenia" standing out with their activity in the middle, but at the end of the half, Vahe Gevorgyan's boys regained the initiative.
In the second half, Ararat-Armenia started actively, but Alashkert again balanced the match. Minutes after the Portuguese specialist brought Paul Ayongo onto the field, the 30-year-old Ghanaian footballer opened the score (1:0), but the home team's joy did not last long, as Davit Terteryan restored the balance of the score (1:1) in the 64th minute of the match.
The second half was even more intense, with goal attempts, and both teams' head coaches receiving yellow cards. Manuel Tulipa also gave playing time to Zhirayr Shadoyan, after which he put a lot of pressure on team captain Armen Hambardzumyan and Zidan Banjak, who were defending the goal of Arsen Beglaryan, but the ball did not cross the goalkeeper's line.
Thus, the teams earn one point each. Ararat-Armenia has 39 points, tied with Urartu, and occupies third place in the standings, while Alashkert is fifth with 33 points.
In the 21st round, Ararat-Armenia will play an away match against Pyunik, while Alashkert will host Yerevan's Ararat at home.
