Shirak FC has issued an official statement in response to Ararat FC's announcement that they are preparing to file a complaint with the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), and if necessary, also with FIFA Fastex Premier League regarding the referees' performance in the Ararat-Shirak match of the 25th round.
"Dear FC Ararat, Shirak Football Club has repeatedly emphasized that every day that the current FFA leaders remain has buried, is burying and will continue to bury our football in bigger problems. We have repeatedly insisted that the only way out is for the current FFA leaders to leave one day early."
Moreover, FC Ararat, in response to the refereeing problems you pointed out and the possible fixed nature of the matches, said that the president of the "Shirak" football club has repeatedly spoken about gambling, emphasizing the indifference and acquiescence of the current leaders of the Armenian Football Federation to what happened.
Instead of fighting against the so-called gambling that is killing football and oppressing generations and joining our just demand, you, dear FC Ararat, were at the same time expressing your unconditional support to the current leaders of the FFA and were busy responding to the proposal of the current vice president of the FFA, in which there was not a single word about referees or the possible gambling you pointed out.
"Since, according to you, you are in trouble and you describe Melikbekyan's refereeing as a disgrace, our request-demand is that you open the brackets and speak directly, specifically indicating who or who are the culprits of the disgrace you mentioned. To whom are your complaints directed and should Armen Melikbekyan's federation, which has turned football into a disaster, provide a solution to them?" the club's Facebook page reads.
