Former president of Moscow's Lokomotiv Nikolay Naumov spoke about the decline in the performance of Armenian national team and "railwaymen" defender Nair Tiknizyan.
"It seems to me that Tiknizyan's career is being ruined by his desire to move to Europe. There are constant transfer failures, agents continue to put forward possible transfer options for him, but nothing works out, and in the end he really failed. Nair has started to look much weaker than before. This is hindering his game.
"Lokomotiv" would be right not to offer him a new contract. The club's management understands that he has started to play not so well, and this is not appropriate for a team that is fighting for medals. In this case, I fully support the Lokomotiv management," Naumov said in an interview with a Championat correspondent.
This season, the 25-year-old defender has played 28 matches for the Moscow club, scoring 2 goals and providing 4 assists.
