European Championship: Samvel Khachatryan lost in the match for third place

Armenia's representative Manvel Khachatryan lost in the bronze medal match at the European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.

The 2024 European bronze medalist (55 kg) wrestled with Georgian Vakhtang Loluai in the weight category, who won 8:1.

The Armenian wrestler started his fight in the quarterfinals, where he defeated the 2022 European bronze medalist and U23 European champion, Turkish Emre Mutlu, with a score of 9:0. In the semifinals, the Armenian representative wrestled with the four-time world champion, two-time European champion, Azerbaijani Eldeniz Azizli, which ended with a score of 5:1, with the victory of the Armenian representative.
