In the last few years, Armenian wrestler Malkhas Amoyan has been returning from almost every tournament not only with medals, but also with championships.
The Greco-Roman wrestler also proved his high level and mastery at the European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships in Bratislava.
He competed in the final of the (77 kg) weight category against Georgian Ramaz Zoidze. Although the Georgian scored the first point, he could not maintain the winning score. In the second round, Amoyan immediately went on the attack and scored 2 points, then added one more.
The world champion and Olympic bronze medalist won 3:1 and was declared European champion for the fourth year in a row.
A moment ago, Karen Aslanyan (77 kg) became the silver medalist, while Manvel Khachatryan (55 kg) lost in the fight for the bronze medal.
