Armenia had two representatives in the women's 81 kg weight category at the European Weightlifting Championships in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.
Emma Poghosyan is fifth in the combined event (100+130) with a result of 230 kg. In 2022, Emma Poghosyan won a gold medal in the 81 kg weight category at the European Under-15 Weightlifting Championships in Poland.
In the summer of 2023, Emma Poghosyan won a silver medal at the European Youth Weightlifting Championships held in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.
In the same year, Emma Poghosyan, as part of the Armenian national team, won the 81 kg weight category at the European Youth Weightlifting Championships held in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, with a combined result of 225 kg. The weightlifter set a new European youth record in the clean and jerk with a result of 129 kg.
On September 25, 2024, at the World Youth Weightlifting Championships held in Leon, Spain, the Armenian weightlifter won a gold medal in the under 81 kg weight category with a combined result of 233 kg.

The other representative of Armenia, Margarita Arakelyan, lifted 91 kg and 95 kg in the snatch. In the clean and jerk, she lifted 116 kg. With a combined result of 211 kg, Margarita Arakelyan is 10th in Europe.
