WEIGHTLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIP: GARIK KARAPETYAN IS THE FORMER WORLD CHAMPION

At the European Weightlifting Championships in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, Armenia had two representatives in the 109 kg weight category: Garik Karapetyan and Simon Martirosyan. Martirosyan became the European vice-champion with a combined result of 406 kg.

Karapetyan wins the first gold medal of the 2025 European Championships with a combined result of 411 kg 🏅 and becomes a two-time champion of the ancient world.
