Armenian agent Nshan Depelyan spoke about the crushing victory of the Georgian national team in the second match of the 2024/2025 UEFA Nations League play-off round against Armenia (6:1). It should be noted that as a result of the two-match confrontation, the Georgian national team won with a score of 9:1.
"There is a certain regularity in the results of the game. Today, the strength of the Armenian and Georgian national teams is incomparable. If in 2012 our team was on the rise, when Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Yura Movsisyan and others were playing, the team was one step away from reaching the Euro, the World Cup. Georgia was in decline at that time. Now everything has changed. Georgia has been on a great rise for several years now, thanks to the competent policy of the country's football federation and talented guys. It is no coincidence that they got out of the group.
In my opinion, Armenia made a mistake in their starting lineup during the game. It was attacking football, and it would have been unwise to play like that against Georgia. We conceded five goals quickly, and the opponent played with two center backs. After five goals, they slowed down, but the starting lineup was wrong. In addition, the support zone played poorly. I don't know why it turned out like this. It happens that the game doesn't go well. "I don't want to blame anyone," Depelyan said in an interview with Championship correspondent Maria Kutsubeyeva.
