Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has responded to a question about whether injured Norwegian striker Erling Haaland will play before the start of the 2025 Club World Cup.
"I hope so. I think he can play until the World Cup... I'm sure everyone will want to play in the FA Cup final. When you get to the final, everyone will want to play. It depends on how the players feel and how they recover," Guardiola was quoted as saying by City Xtra.
24-year-old Norwegian striker Erling Haaland suffered an ankle injury on March 30. On April 27, there were rumors that the player had returned to training. On the same day, Manchester City defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 in the FA Cup semi-final and advanced to the final of the tournament.
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be held in the United States (USA) from June 15 to July 13.
