Red Bull's global head of football operations, Jurgen Klopp, had a phone conversation with Como head coach Cesc Fabregas.
As reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano on social media, Klopp wants Cesc Fabregas to take over at RB Leipzig. The club is looking for a permanent replacement for Marco Rose, who was sacked in March. Fabregas has caught the eye of the RB Leipzig management thanks to his bold attacking philosophy and impressive results in Como.
The 37-year-old Spaniard began his coaching career in 2023. The specialist led the Como U-19 youth team. Cesc later served as acting head coach and assistant. In 2024, Fabregas officially took over the management of the Italian club.
Cesc Fabregas' team is in 10th place in the Italian championship, having earned 45 points from 35 matches. Como will next play at home against Parma in the Italian Serie A.
