Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez commented on his performance on the pitch in the second leg of the 2024/2025 Champions League against Barcelona (4:3), after suffering an injury in the first leg between the teams in the Catalan capital (3:3).
"The first game was very difficult, we played against a strong opponent and fought until the last minute. I felt that I had problems with my leg. I even cried for two days because I really wanted to go out on the field. Today I tried to recover as much as possible, even though I wasn't completely ready. I promised my family that I would go out and help the team. Our priority now is to recover, because there are still very important games ahead," Martinez was quoted as saying by Tuttomercatoweb.
It should be added that the 27-year-old Argentine was diagnosed with a muscle strain, but the footballer was able to recover in less than a week, participate in the Nerazzurri's starting lineup for the return match against the Blaugrana, and score a goal.
Inter will face either PSG or Arsenal in the Champions League final.
