Number of injured in Espanyol fans hit by car rises

The number of people injured after a car hit Espanyol fans has reached 16. The incident occurred yesterday, May 15, near the team's stadium, before the La Liga match against Barcelona (0:2).

Earlier, it was reported that a Peugeot car accidentally hit a girl near the stadium. After that, people tightly surrounded the car, started shouting and throwing objects at it. The female driver, aged 45 to 55, got nervous and pressed the gas pedal, as a result of which the car suddenly moved away and collided with several other people in the crowd.

Earlier it was reported that a total of 13 people were injured, but none were serious. According to Marca, 16 people were injured in the collision. 13 of them were taken to hospital. The condition of one person appears to have worsened and is considered serious.
