Joao Moutinho has extended his contract with Braga until 2026, confirming the club's commitment to providing experience, leadership and continued growth in the national and European arenas, the club's official website reports.
This update reflects not only Moutinho's achievements in recent seasons, but also his full support for the sporting project led by president Antonio Salvador, which aims to consolidate Braga's place among the best. In an interview with NEXT, the Portuguese player stated that he is happy to extend his contract with Braga.
Contract extension:
"The contract extension is a sign that I have performed well, that I have been able to help and contribute to the team's goals. We have not achieved everything we wanted, because we always want more. But I have played at a high level and this extension is confirmation of that. I have always wanted to be better every day, every year, to improve on what I did last season. And I think that is what Braga also wants: to grow, to win, to become stronger, to compete with the best. It was an easy decision. Now I want to spend another year with the same determination that we all share: to make the club champions. If it works, it will be next year. And if not, at least I will help create a solid foundation for it to become a reality. And I know it will. And the sooner the better for everyone."
