A meeting between Vincenzo Italiano and Bologna representatives is expected in the near future. The club wants to keep him and will offer him a contract extension until 2027 (€2.8 million per year) with the option to extend until 2028, reports Nicolo Schira.

Vincenzo Italiano is currently one of the most promising coaches in Italy. The coach took charge of Bologna before the start of the current season. Under his leadership, the club played 50 games, winning 22, drawing 17 and losing 11. Before that, the specialist was in charge of Fiorentina, with whom he reached the Conference League final twice, but never won.

However, the coach won his first trophy this season: Bologna won the Coppa Italia, defeating Milan in the final, thus securing their participation in European competitions next season. In Serie A, Bologna are in 8th place with 62 points, with one round remaining.
