Bayer Leverkusen are demanding €25 million for Odilon Kosuna, which is the price of Atalanta's buy-back option. There is no binding payment obligation yet. The Bergamo club would like to keep him, reports Florian Plattenberg.
If Atalanta are willing to pay less, Bayer are willing to buy the player back. In that case, a resale could be an option. He is not currently part of Leverkusen's plans for the upcoming season.
Recall that Odilon has been playing for Bayer Leverkusen since 2021, when he moved from Club Brugge for 23 million euros. He spent three seasons in Germany and became a champion with Leverkusen. Last summer, he moved to Atalanta on loan, where he played a total of 22 games, making two assists. Kosunou also played 25 games for the Ivory Coast national team. Transfermarkt estimates the player's transfer value in the same way as Bayer at 25 million euros.
