According to insider Fabrizio Romano, former Manchester United manager Erik ten Gag has agreed to take over at Bayer Leverkusen. The Dutchman has agreed to a two-year contract with the "pharmacists".
The decision is currently being made by Bayer Leverkusen, which has contacted several candidates for the position of head coach. Ten Gag, having the opportunity to sign a contract with Ajax, gives priority to the Leverkusen club.
Recall that Erik ten Gag was dismissed from his position as Manchester United head coach in October 2024.
It was previously officially announced that current Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso will leave the club after the end of the 2024-25 season.
